Stuff like this, Shroud of Turin and the saint's blood which liquifies once a year, it seems to me at least buries the philosophical Catholic theories, proofs, and other 'bath-water babies' they wish to 'save'.
Seems to me that all the Thomist word-game proofs are just massacred by these same guys having to defend seriously ridiculous 'signs' like this.
I suppose if you're willing to believe that Jesus had to come back to life physically to prove that there is spiritual life and that the Shroud of Turn is a 'sign' from God, you might as well go the whole hog and be searching your toast for something resembling a hippie's face(Jesus) or a woman's face(Mary).
Plus, I'm sure someone resected that section during the middle ages - about the same time as they were painting cloths on the figures in the Sistine Chapel.

What makes me crazier is that this stuff gets on the History Channel.
Tactfully absent is the cloth where the genitals should be... this is an omission of Homeric proportions.
Mac, I'm not sure Homer's, manhood could ever be considered as having reached epic proportions...
